Counselling – Talking Therapy
Hi, my name is Tanya Kleinhans and I am a Person-Centred Counsellor who has joined the Your Space team to offer counselling to its service users and their families at Llay Park Resource Centre.
The counselling service offers a safe, confidential space to talk about problems you are experiencing, to be listened to, respecting your wishes and feelings, with no judgements. With person-centred counselling you are not told what to do and there is no ‘homework’.
You will be encouraged to:
Explore: look at what’s happening, talk and share;
Understand: To see why you feel and act the way that you do and what you might do about it, increasing self awareness;
Act: To bring about changes in responses, behaviours (or not) you would like and to accept or let go.
Counselling can help you look at:
➢ Managing your anger
➢ Feelings of self hate
➢ Feeling low and fed up
Each session lasts around 30 to 50 minutes and funded sessions are being offered on:
Wednesday evening 6pm-8pm for siblings,
Saturday morning: 10:30am to 1:30pm for service users.
Adults of services users can arrange an evening time by email.
If you are interested in booking a session or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email me on firstname.lastname@example.org
